Giving to Pickersgill
Your generosity makes everything possible
Thank you for your interest in making a gift to Pickersgill Retirement Community. We wouldn’t have been around for 200 years without the generosity and kindness of the Baltimore-area community. Each gift we receive makes it possible for us to continuing providing outstanding care and a vibrant lifestyle to our area seniors. We thank you for considering donating to our community.
We offer a variety of giving opportunities that assist with a wide array of needs at Pickersgill. Click below to securely donate through Paypal.
The Annual Fund
This popular fund goes to the heart of what’s needed most: supporting music programs, celebrations and special programs for residents. Any gift may be made in memory of or in honor of a family member or friend.
The Chapel Fund
The Covid-19 Fund
The Benevolent Care Fund
This fund hearkens back to the original charitable mission of the community when it was founded in 1802. Benevolent Care offers security and peace of mind to those residents who require and are approved for financial assistance. You can donate to the Benevolent Care Fund securely via Paypal.
The Named Fund
A Named Fund for the Endowment is a way to honor a friend or loved one. Each new fund is started with an initial gift of $200 or more, and then grows with additional donations made by family and friends. Any amount can be given at any time. One gift of any amount each year will allow a Named Fund to be recognized in our Annual Report. Our Named Funds become part of the principal of our endowment, which generates an income flow, to be used wherever it’s needed.
What our residents are saying…
“Through the years, we’ve gotten to know a lot of the people there. Even many of the employees feel like family. I believe this can only happen in a smaller community like Pickersgill. When Mom was in Decker Center receiving care, one of the nurses used some of her handkerchiefs that she had collected over the years and made them into a quilt. She gave the quilt to Dad when Mom passed away. We treasure that quilt.”
–Karen Merrey, daughter of a Pickersgill resident
